Borneo Stick Mantis
A large stick mantis endemic to Borneo with leaf-like wing expansions. Its wings resemble dried leaves and add to its twig-and-leaf disguise.
Did You Know?
Its leaf-like wing expansions are wider than those of any other Toxodera species.
Hooded Mantis
A Central American mantis with an enormously expanded, leaf-shaped prothorax. Its green, shield-like hood provides excellent leaf mimicry.
Did You Know?
Its prothoracic shield is so wide and flat that it earned the nickname "hooded mantis" for its cloak-like appearance.
