Four-spotted Footman Moth
A large footman moth with strong sexual dimorphism; males are grey with two forewing spots, females yellow with four large blue-black spots. Females are significantly larger than males.

A large and powerful butterfly with pale green-white uppersides and richly marked brown and olive undersides. The hindwings have short pointed tails and the flight is fast and commanding.
