Foxy Charaxes
A powerful butterfly with rich orange-brown wings edged in dark brown with blue spots. The underside is intricately patterned in silver and russet.

It is the only charaxes species also found in Europe, where the nominate subspecies occurs around the Mediterranean.
Common Euphaedra
A forest-dwelling butterfly with deep orange-brown wings and distinctive blue-purple iridescent bands. It is one of the most commonly encountered Euphaedra species in West Africa. Males and females differ significantly in pattern.
